Update

Well, I've noticed it's been a few weeks since I've updated the blog, again...Let's see, since the Thomas clan came to visit Phil and I went to Stony River (YUM) for our anniversary, the boys have begun lacrosse (yes both of them), and Phil has outfitted the boat with fishing gear! Guess where he's been every weekend (hint hint). Actually this is his weekend off (of the boat) since he's on-call. Go figure, another holiday, another on-call...which he's none too happy about.
Regarding the boys. As I mentioned, they are both playing lacrosse now. Right now practices are on Wednesdays and Fridays from 8pm-9:30pm and Sundays from 4pm-6pm. Games begin at the end of September and will be on Saturdays. PHEW, I hope they change the practice schedule once games start! Could you imagine Wed, Fri, Sat, Sun!? Way too much for a recreational sport. They are both loving it and Phil is picking it up very well. He already knows how to scoop, catch, and pass. We just need to work on his running skills. Jeff has been practicing with the older group since he's a little hot tamale on the field.
Speaking of Jeff, some of you know and some not. Jeff was selected for testing into the gifted and talented program at school. During the course of the next two weeks he will be testing (every day) and then they will look at his scores to determine if he should be in the program. I think that's so exciting and shows how well he does in school. Even if he doesn't make it into the program (which I think he will), to be selected is an honor!
So, think that about covers everything here for the moment. Mom and Dad leave on their big adventure..their Alaskan Cruise...on Saturday. Hope they have a great time!

Ciao for now!

Our weekend visitors

We had SUCH a great visit this weekend. Theresa and her clan (Blaire, Courtnie, Mary-Courtnie's BFF-Kinsley, and Kaleb) all came to visit. They arrived on Friday around 3:30 and headed out on Monday a little after 8am. Saturday Phil and Blaire took the boys to the boat, Theresa and I took the girls to The Avenue (an outdoor mall near us), then we all met up and took the kids to the pool. Later that evening the adults went to Chepes and the kids stayed home with Sals Pizza! Of course we all ended up on the back porch (what else would you expect?!). On Sunday the adults headed to the boat (don't worry, we didn't stay long) then we came back, took the kids to the pool, then we all got cleaned up and went to Cheeseburger in Paradise to celebrate Theresa's 34th bday! We ended the celebration back at the house with cake and ice cream. Here are some great pics of the weekend. I wish it didn't end so quickly. Love you guys!

Flower pot

Ok, so I just have to brag for one minute. I LOVE the way my new flower pot in the back turned out...check it out!

More of Captain (&) Morgan

I could go about this post in two ways but I'll start with the fun and go to the funNY...Michelle and the boys are finally back from Florida (came back on Thursday) so of course they all came over on Friday night to hang out (after my homeowners meeting which went very well by the way). I tell you what, I really think we're 30 something's trying to believe we're still in our young 20's...we were up until way after 2AM on the back porch. I was hurting all day yesterday..not headache, just tired! I actually even took a nap and we cancelled our date night too! Michelle and I both agree there's not going to be any more of those (at least not in the near future!).
So here's the funny portion of the post...check out these pictures!

Our trip to Universal

As some of you know we took a trip to Universal Studios recently...here are some great pictures of the trip. AWESOME is the best word to describe it. We could have stayed another week! We arrived to the hotel (Loews Royal Pacific Resort) on our first day around 10:30 and since the room wasn't ready we dropped our bags at the bellhop and headed to the park! We went to Universal first. You can see the Wicked Stepsister there trying to cuddle with lil Phil. We went to Twister, the Mummy (Brendan Frasier was there that day too!), Jaws, and a few others I can't remember now. Then it started to cloud up so we headed back to the hotel, watched the rain, then hung out at the pool. We went to dinner inside the hotel then went to Islands of Adventure and rode Dueling Dragons, Dr. Dooms Fearfall, SpiderMan, and of course the Hulk! The next morning we grabbed the buffet in the hotel (YUMMY) and then headed back to I of A...Not only did we ride the Hulk 3 more times, and Dueling Dragons another 2 times, we also rode the Jurassic Park River Adventure, walked through Poseidon's Fury, and were almost eaten alive by Jaws! It started to cloud up again right around noon so we headed to where else but Margaritaville for lunch! And of course since it was still raining we HAD to go to the gift shop! hehehehe..yes, I got some new junk! We went back to the hotel after that and hung out at the pool...well, I take that back, Phil and the boys hung out in the pool, I hung out by the pool drinking LOL.
That night we ordered room service for the boys and locked them in while Phil and I to Bubba Gumps...delicious! They had the best "adult" lemonade I have ever had! And get this, Phil drank fruity drinks! Yes he did, I swear!
The next day it was time to head home but not until we got in another dose of Universal. We had to ride Men in Black (a homage to Morgan) and the new Simpsons ride which was absolutely incredible...and I'm NOT a Simpson's fan. After that we grabbed a quick bite, rode the Mummy again then headed back on our 7 hour drive. What a great time! Thanks Phil/dad for taking us!
I LOVE THIS PICTURE!
