Grandma and Grandpa's visit

We are all anxiously awaiting the arrival and Grandma and Grandpa this afternoon. Grandpa sent a message this morning that they would be arriving earlier than expected and the boys have been on pins and needles waiting for them. Lil Phil has come up to me twice now since he got off the bus (about 30 minutes ago) asking when they would be here. Speak of the devil, Grandpa just called saying there at the Mall of Georgia which is about 30 minutes from our house!

Upcoming events

We are having a special visit from Grandma and Grandpa this weekend. It's been a few months since they've been here and we can't wait for them to come. I'm not sure what the plan is for this weekend but I know it's going to involve the boat! :-)...it's been a few weeks since I've been on it so I'm looking forward to the wind in my hair. I hope the weather is on our side.

Jimbo's visit

Jim's visit to Casa de Procida was this weekend. I think I can speak for everyone and say that it was a very nice visit. We stayed up extremely too late on Friday night hanging out on the back porch and woke up way too early on Saturday morning. Not sure if many of you know but Jeffrey and I have a little standing date on Saturday mornings which started a little while ago... we go "yard sale'n". It's a fun time and I get to spend some one on one time with the little man. He's always hunting for Legos, go figure. Anyway, while he and I were doing our thing, Phil, lil Phil, and Jim went out on the boat. We all met back at the house and hung out for a few hours then we went bowling. I can say all in all we had a great time, especially when we started using the bumpers! :-) After I beat everyone in the game we went to Applebees and had very very bad food but ohhhhhhhhhhh it tasted SO good! I definitely have to get back on the diet in full force this week. Anyway...it seemed the weekend went by way too fast but I'm hoping Jim enjoyed his visit and we hope he comes back again soon. Both Daddy and Jim left for the airport around 10am, daddy had to go to Dallas this week for training.

Latest news from Robby!

I received fantastic news about Robby yesterday! He has decided to stay home and NOT go back to Iraq! I'm so excited for all of us but especially for Cody, Lyla, and Robby. They FINALLY get to be a real family! Daddy will be there every night to put Cody to bed, give him baths, change his dirty diaper (hahaha). Maybe once in awhile mommy and daddy will even get to go out on a "date". Congratulations Robby! I know it will be tough but it's definitely worth it. Lova y'all!

Mid term grades

Both boys got their progress reports this week and I'm proud to say that BOTH Phil and Jeff got straight A's! We're taking them for a surprise today to celebrate this great achievement. I'm such a proud mommy. Obviously they are fitting in well at school and enjoying it very much. Great job guys!

lil Phil's upcoming birthday

Phil has decided that he wants to have a Star Wars Lego birthday party this year! We plan to have a bbq and cake and ice cream at the house and then we will take 5 boys to a lego store (yes, they exist) for a 1 hour party! They get to take home whatever they build! How cool is that!? So, for the grandparents reading this...yes, legos legos legos....they actually have a lego website (lego.com). More to come!

More upcoming events

Well today is Tuesday and I'm heading to Philly for a one day training session (I'm the trainer) on Wednesday. I can't wait to see everyone in the office and spend some time w/my girl HP2! Next weekend Jim Hoyer, Phil's friend, is heading into town to visit us which should be fun. His first visit and hopefully not his last. I'm sure daddy will be taking him on the boat, fo sho! Speaking of, here's a few extras of the back of the boat. You can see the logo now! If you can't tell it says "License to Chill" :-)

Our trip to Savannah this weekend

We had a wonderful visit this weekend with Robby, Lyla, and Cody in Savannah. They have a very nice home and a ninja cat to boot! hahahaha (sorry y'all, inside joke). We didn't get in till late Friday night so don't have much to talk about there. We woke up early (thank you kids) on Saturday morning and then I scared the living daylights out of Cody when he woke up. We had a leisurely breakfast and drove into Savannah. What a perfect day! There was a slight breeze, not too hot (by Savannah standards anyway), and again the company couldn't have been better. We ate a great lunch at a local restaurant (still can't remember the name, sorry Robby) then walked River Street and took in more sights. There was this crazy spot on River Street that if you talked you echoed. I'm going to have to research that bad boy because that was just too crazy! Here's a couple pics include Cody Boy! After our trip downtown we went home, chilled, watched Georgia State get killed by South Carolina (Robby, are those tears I see?), played some football, and ate some great homemade burgers thanks to Lyla. We crashed early, woke up late then headed home. What a great weekend. Thank you Robby and Lyla.

Recent fishing trip

Well here are the pictures from the family fishing trip I mentioned earlier. Fun times. Everyone caught a fish, no one was thrown overboard (although we wanted to at times), and we had great company.

Mother's Day '07

I know that most of these first postings are not in chronological order...going forward they will be. These are just important days/times for me that I wanted to share with everyone. Below are a few pictures that are special to me to remembering our weekend at Big Canoe where we spent Mother's Day.

Oh the boat!

As most of you know, we bought a floating house, I mean boat, earlier this year. Here are a few pictures of Phil's prized possession!

Aquarium

During mom and dad's visit on Father's Day weekend we took them to the Atlanta aquarium...fun times!

Our first family photo!

During our trip to Disney in May!

Morgan

This was Morgan as a baby...just 2 lbs...he's now a little over 11 lbs. This is Captain and Morgan (haha, get it?)

This, again, is Morgan at 10 weeks....he's so tiny there! Now he and Captain are the same size.

Daddy and Jeff's 1st fishing trip

This is daddy and Jeff's 1st fishing trip, not the one we went on this weekend. Look how big Jeff's fish is! They caught 8 fish during this trip.

Our first blog

Well I thought we should get on the bandwagon and start posting our life like everyone else...seeing as how we're now a few states from any of our close family (except Robby, et al) and friends. Today is the day after Labor Day and I figured we'd start this blog out with what we did this past weekend: We started out on Saturday morning, bright and early, with a family fishing trip with a guide in Lake Lanier. We caught four huge fish (pictures forthcoming) and spent from 7am-4pm on the lake. Sunday was spent hanging out, cleaning the house (always fun), then we went to the Cumming Rodeo YEEEEEEHAWWWWWWW! Yea, very disappointing. Monday afternoon we spent a few hours on the boat at the lake then came home to get rested up for back to school and work. Our plans for this coming weekend are to drive down to Savannah on Friday evening to spend the weekend with Robby, Lyla, and Cody. I can't wait!
