Kitchen island

A few of you didn't know that the island was on our "to do" list. Here's the first stage. You can see in the first pic I attached that the island was never painted. This is why! I wanted to paint it to look like our barstools which you can see are a very dark woodgrain. Sarah, my artist, thought it might be best to paint it to look antique black which she'll finish tomorrow...it's going to look fabulous! I can't wait!
