Phil's birthday bash
PHEW! What a weekend! I started out around 9:30 Saturday morning taking Jeff over to Walmart to buy Phil a bday present (Legos). Then of course we had to stop by GameStop b/c Jeff never has enough video games to play...he's so deprived LOL...Then it was on to our 2nd lacrosse game. We got home from there around 3pm (we stopped at Rita's on the way home) and I immediately went right back out to the grocery store for snacks, soda, ice cream, etc etc etc...Phil's buddies began arriving around 4:30 yesterday afternoon, 6 total, and that's when all the "fun" began! They ended up staying awake until around 2:30 this morning when I demanded they shut off the games and turn off the lights. Of course 30 minutes later they were downstairs drinking what? MORE COKE! Yea, they totally didn't need more caffeine in their systems! I ran them back upstairs and I passed out. Everyone had to be picked up by 10am so at 9:15 I became the wicked mom and shook everyone awake in order to eat before their parents came...they were none too pleased with me but you know what? What comes around, goes around! So there! HA We now have a nice and quiet house again and the boys and I are getting ready to head out for our family-minus 1-picture. Daddy's not feeling well so he'll be missing but I'm still getting it done. It's been scheduled for 3 weeks and I'm not bailing! Here are some pics from the night and yes, I DID make that cake!

OKTOBERFEST in georgia
Phil and I have been looking forward to going to the Oktoberfest in Helen, Georgia for months now. He found the website (http://helenchamber.com/oktoberfest.htm) and it looked great! HA...well, let's just say it was a waste of 2 1/2 hours of driving. We actually spent more time in the CAR than we did at the fest! What a shame. Oh well, we got to see the beautiful mountains and it was a great day for a drive, although it's tough to find gas around here these days. Here are some pictures from our outting.

LAX LAX LAX
The boys have started fall lacrosse with an organization I helped form closer to our home (West Forsyth Young Lacrosse Association). It's intended to be a feeder program for the high school once it gets up and running and we had a fantastic turnout for our first season. Some of you know that lacrosse is actually a spring sport so the fact that we've got U-11, 2 U-13, and 1 U-15 teams in the fall (competing with football) is fantastic! We've also already signed up close to 30 players for spring (and apparently have 40+ more football players interested) and our games for fall haven't even begun! Can you tell I'm excited!? Here are a few pictures from last Sunday. We had a Labor Day cookout at the field and parent/player scrimmages (by age group). Everyone had a blast! Go Wolverines!

1st day of school pics
The first day of school was August 11th so these are a little dated but I wanted to add them anyhow. The boys seem to be doing very well so far and are loving each of their teachers. Phil is adjusting to his middle school routine and I think he enjoys the fact that he doesn't have to crawl out of bed until 7:30am each morning.
